Phenax, God of Deception | Mill - The Brewery [S02E02]

Greetings, everyone! Welcome to The Commander Tavern! I am Demented Kirby and this is the 2nd episode of the 2nd season of one of the series on this channel, The Brewery. This series is all about brewing and deck techs - hopefully showcasing the spiciest of brews!

This episode of The Brewery is showcasing a deck I’ve been playing with for a long time, Phenax, God of Deception. This is just your run-of-the-mill (no pun intended) mill deck with Phenax at the helm. It’s meant to be more casual and underpowered in that it doesn’t run so many tutors or control magic. It just synergistically mills opponents while taking advantage of that. That being said, you could definitely optimize the deck more by adding in a ton more tutors to find Eater of the Dead and a bunch more cantrips and control magic to be as consistent as possible. Fair warning though: running it that way gets old really quickly and can lead to boring games both with it and against it.
