Gameplay Summary
In this cooperative Commander Horde game, four players team up with their favorite commanders to face off against an automated Zombie Horde deck.
The players have a shared life total of 80 and three turns to develop their board before the Horde begins attacking with a swarm of token zombies, many of which have menace, making blocking difficult.
Early turns are marked by cautious mana development and limited creature deployment, with most players struggling to establish a strong board presence before the Horde's relentless attacks commence.
The Horde continuously generates zombie tokens and casts spells that enhance its board, such as granting menace to all zombies, creating pressure on the players to find efficient removal and defense strategies.
The players utilize their commanders’ unique abilities—Shelob's deathtouch and reach, Caesar’s Legion tactics, Ghyrson Starn’s damage-dealing synergy, and The Ur-Dragon’s powerful dragon tribal support—to build incremental board control and chip away at the Horde’s deck through damage and milling effects.
Despite early setbacks and some missed land drops, the team coordinates to survive the Horde’s overwhelming numbers by leveraging strategic plays, including ramp and removal spells to slow the Horde's advance, aiming to mill the Horde’s deck before their combined life total is depleted.
