The game started with each player setting up their initial board states. Eliot, playing Thrasios and Tymna, managed to get an Esper Sentinel on the board early, potentially disrupting the opponents' plans. Ben, piloting Tivit, Seller of Secrets, played Arcane Signet and Mystic Remora, setting up a potential card draw engine. Crim, playing Winota, Joiner of Forces, made a bold move by playing Jeweled Lotus and dropping Winota on the table early.
