Deck Strategies
Oloro, Ageless Ascetic
Maximus's deck strategy revolved around leveraging Oloro's life gain ability to fuel powerful synergies with cards like Vito and Sanguine Bond, culminating in a lethal combo with Bolus's Citadel.
The Scarab God
Thomas's Scarab God deck aimed to take advantage of zombies and graveyard manipulation, although he was not able to fully establish his board and threats in this game.
Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm
Miirym's deck strategy involved leveraging the commander's ability to generate treasure tokens and utilising dragon-themed synergies, which was evident with cards like Dragon Tempest and Terror of the Peaks.
Go-Shintai of Life's Origin
Micah's Go-Shintai deck seemed to focus on creating and utilising shrine tokens to deal damage to opponents and maintain board presence.
Gameplay Insights

Summary
The game started off with each player setting up their board states, taking advantage of their commanders' abilities and synergies. However, the game quickly escalated when Maximus, playing Oloro, Ageless Ascetic, managed to establish a powerful combination of Bolus's Citadel, Vito, Throned of the Dusk Rose, and Sanguine Bond. This resulted in a massive life gain and subsequent life loss for his opponents. Despite Thomas' Scarab God and Miirym's Sentinel Wyrm putting up a fight, it was Maximus's well-timed use of Beacon of Immortality and the powerful extort mechanic from the Pontiff of Blight that gave him the upper hand and eventually, the win.
