Summary
This intense game of Commander began with each player establishing their board presence and strategies. Early on, Jason's Nihiloor deck started to apply pressure by stealing opponents' creatures and making use of sacrifice synergies. Cameron's Grenzo deck tried to build a goblin army and leverage goblin synergies, while Alex's Aeve deck aimed for infinite mana and storm. Ivern's Wernog/Elmar deck, an enrage deck, sought to get value from self-inflicted damage on his creatures. As the game progressed, however, a key turning point came when Alex was able to generate potentially infinite mana with Aeve and Food Chain, threatening to overrun the board with Ooze tokens. However, Jason disrupted this with Anguished Unmaking, exiling the Food Chain and staving off Alex's win attempt.
