Summary
The game featured four diverse and aggressive cEDH decks each leveraging unique strategies to secure victory. Hélder piloted an infect-focused Lord of Tresserhorn deck that aimed to pressure opponents early with a large infect commander and finish the game with a single infect strike powered by Tainted Strike and Kediss. David played a Freed Zaxara deck utilizing infinite mana combos to draw his deck and win through alternate win conditions like Jace, Wielder of Mysteries or Thassa's Oracle. Leite was on a fast red storm build with Jeska and Dargo, striving to cast Dargo early and use Jeska's triple damage ability to deal lethal damage, including a combo with Phyrexian Altar for infinite damage. Baal ran a Slogurk Hermit deck that sought to win by milling the entire library with Hermit Druid and overwhelming opponents with a huge Slogurk Ooze or by drawing out with Laboratory Maniac. The first game quickly turned when Hélder cast Lord of Tresserhorn but Baal disrupted his board with Force of Vigor on key enchantments. Leite successfully cast Dargo early and used Jeska to deal lethal poison damage to David, ending his game before David could assemble his infinite mana combo. Baal followed up by activating Hermit Druid, milling almost his entire deck and generating a massive Slogurk that finished off Hélder. The second game saw Leite execute a perfect fast start, casting both Jeska and Dargo on turn one and quickly eliminating Hélder with triple commander damage. Baal continued to ramp and set up defenses while David aimed to protect his combo pieces. Overall, the matches highlighted explosive early plays, disruption, and combo finishers characteristic of high-powered cEDH gameplay.
