Summary

The game started with each player presenting their commanders and their deck's strategies. Jon M was playing Glarb, Calamity's Augur, a deck focused on recursion and large creatures. Jason was playing Camellia, the Seedmiser, a deck centered on creating food tokens and generating rodents. Jeff was playing with Zorline, Cosmos Caller, a deck that manipulates life totals. Lastly, Jon S was playing Zinnia, Valley's Voice, a deck built around creating wide token armies. Players start building their mana base and casting their commanders in early turns. Jon M made a significant move with a Tempt with Discovery, allowing players to search their libraries for land. This move accelerated everyone's game plan due to the increased mana availability. Jason was able to get Deep Forest Hermit on the board, generating a considerable number of squirrel tokens. Jeff responded by playing Darkar Augur and Zorline, Cosmos Caller, setting up an Exquisite Blood combo. Jason attempted to counter this by casting Swarmyard Massacre, creating more tokens and reducing the power of non-token creatures.
