Summary

The game kicked off with a balanced start with all players setting up their initial strategies. Old Gnawbone deck focused on creatures that are difficult to block or that are able to deal damage even if blocked. K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth deck had a combination of draw spells and cards which gain life when fell as cash. Akiri, Line-Slinger and Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist played a Boros equipment deck while Tolsimir, Friend to Wolves deck was packed with wolves and cards to make wolf tokens. The game took a drastic turn when John played 'Dead of Winter', causing all creatures to get -4/-4, effectively wiping out Irby's board completely. However, this left Hamster with his commander Akiri due to the protection and additional toughness provided by the Commander's Plate and Sword of the Animus.
