Many Magic: The Gathering players ask the question…what can I use as tokens other than corroded Canadian pennies and whatever happens to be nearby? Well, you can use the actual, official tokens that are randomly seeded within booster packs, but for many players, this is the equivalent of sticking to the default starting outfit in their favorite RPG. We like to customize ourselves and our play experience, so why not custom tokens? Aaron Miller, Magic: The Gathering artist who has created such amazing works of art such as Ajani, Mentor of Hero’s, Kaseto, Orochi Archmage, Tuskguard Captain, and many, many more has launched his own line of custom tokens to add distinction and flair to your games of Magic: The Gathering. As I have always said, art is subjective, and your taste may be very different than mine. Personally, I love vivid detail Miller’s art for these tokens contain. It reminds me of much more traditional fantasy elements, the sort of art that could grace the covers of the fantasy book I used to pour over at Crown Books back in the 90s. Rich, colorful, and striking technique. But as always, as far as whether this is artwork you enjoy and would want to have represent you is a question only you can answer. So let’s talk what is not quite so subjective: quality. All tokens will be printed on 300gsm regulation quality cardstock with a smooth aqueous coating. They fit nicely into perfect fit sleeves, as they are more or less the same size and shape as actual Magic cards, right down to the rounded corners. Tokens are based on actual Magic player token needs, and come with appropriate token name, toughness and power for the respective tokens.
