    Ziatora, the Incinerator

Ziatora's deck seems to lean towards aggressive playstyle with its ramping and drawing cards, but it didn't get a chance to fully execute its strategy.

  • Jetmir, Nexus of Revels

    Jetmir, Nexus of Revels

The strategy for Jetmir's deck is to build a creature-heavy board and use Jetmir's ability to pump up creatures, making them significant threats.

  • Shorikai, Genesis Engine

Shorikai's deck was unable to fully demonstrate its strategy due to rapid game progression, but it seems to focus on manipulating cards and board state.

Gameplay Insights

  • 1

MJ's Primal Vigor, intended to augment their own strategy, ended up being a double-edged sword as it significantly boosted Nick's Kosei.

  • 2

Max's Jetmir created an early threat on the board, forcing other players to find answers or face significant damage.

  • 3

The combination of Hydra's Growth and Shape of the Wiitigo on Kosei, further amplified by Primal Vigor, was a major turning point, leading to a swift conclusion of the game.

  • 4

Max's use of Nature's Lore and Skull Clamp for card advantage was notable, but it was not enough to turn the tide in his favor.

Summary

The game started with all players setting up their boards and ramping, each with their unique strategies. Max, playing Jetmir, was the first to establish a significant board presence, using his commander's ability to pump up his creatures and deal considerable damage to all players. However, the turning point of the game was when Nick, piloting Kosei, managed to significantly strengthen his commander through a combination of enchantments and +1/+1 counters, greatly amplified by MJ's Primal Vigor. With one massive swing, Nick eliminated two players and severely wounded Max, shifting the game's dynamics in his favour. Despite Max's attempts to retaliate, he could not withstand the overpowering Kosei and conceded the game to Nick.
