Summary
The game kicked off with all four players taking a relatively slow start, focusing on setting up their mana bases and getting some initial value pieces onto the board, like Arcane Signet and Wayfarer's Bobble. CovertGoBlue made the first major move of the game by flashing in Deepglow Skate in response to a Wayfarer's Bauble activation, setting up a powerful board presence early on. However, Josh Lee Kwai (JLK) quickly responded by bringing out his commander, Nicol Bolas, the Ravager, forcing each player to discard a card. Despite some interference from CovertGoBlue's Arcane Denial, JLK still managed to draw into more resources. Taalia Vess started to apply pressure on the board with her Arcades, the Strategist, turning her defensive walls into significant threats. The game continued with players building their boards and strategizing for the late game.
