Deck & Commander Strategies

Edric, Spymaster of Trest
This deck aims to generate value through Edric's ability to draw cards by dealing combat damage to opponents. Coupling this with low-cost creatures and extra turn spells, it seeks to overwhelm opponents through sheer card advantage and a wide board state.

Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm
Miirym decks focus on leveraging the commander's ability to make token copies of creatures. They aim for a mix of ramp, creature-based synergies, and combat tricks to control the board and dominate the battlefield.

Karador, Ghost Chieftain
Karador's strategy revolves around self-mill and graveyard recursion. The deck aims to fill the graveyard with creatures and then use Karador's ability to play them from the graveyard, gaining value from repeated enter-the-battlefield or death triggers.

Gameplay Summary
In this exciting game of Commander, the match was a test of wits between Edric, Spymaster of Trest, and two Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm decks, with Karador, Ghost Chieftain rounding out the table.
Early in the matchup, both Miirym decks established a strong board presence, with one player using a morphed Rattleclaw Mystic to ramp into their commander while the other utilized a Mana Vault to accelerate their game plan.
However, Edric, piloted by Matzu, shrewdly utilized card draw mechanics and a well-timed Notorious Throng to generate numerous fairy tokens and seize an extra turn.
Towards the end, Matzu continuously put counters from Forgotten Ancient onto Triton Shorestalker, making it a significant threat.
He then equipped the Shorestalker with a Sword of War and Peace, further increasing its power.
Despite valiant efforts from other players, Matzu's aggressive strategy and card advantage proved too much to handle, leading him to victory.
