Gameplay Summary
The game begins with the players facing off against the Dragon Horde, a unique challenge involving dragon eggs and a variety of dragons with different abilities.
Early turns see the Horde deploying eggs and smaller dragons while players focus on ramping mana and setting up their board states.
Key plays include casting removal spells like Assassin's Trophy to disrupt the Horde's land base, and deploying creatures such as Deathr Shaman and Fel Warstone to establish early defense and utility. As the game progresses, the Horde reveals powerful threats like Magmatic Hellkite and a massive 6/6 flying black dragon with a devastating ability to exile the top cards of opponents' libraries each turn, allowing the Horde controller to cast those cards with any color mana.
Players work together to manage incoming damage and control the board, with Aphelia generating death touch snakes and Omnath providing additional pressure.
A turning point occurs when Aragorn and other creatures attack the Horde, successfully destroying key dragon eggs and thinning the horde's forces.
Despite some tough luck on the Horde's side, the players effectively leverage removal, combat tricks, and synergy to keep the Dragon Horde in check, aiming to outlast and dismantle it through attrition and well-timed aggression.
