Summary

The game started with each player establishing their mana base and setting up their early game strategies. Anje Falkenrath focused on her madness engine to fuel card draw and hand filtering, while Omnath, Locus of Mana built up a large mana pool to overwhelm opponents with powerful creatures. Riku of Two Reflections concentrated on casting and copying instants and sorceries to generate incremental value and board presence. Ghired, Conclave Exile aimed to create a wide token army and leverage overrun effects to close out the game. Key turning points included the board wipe triggered by Phyrexian Rebirth, which reset the board but left Ghired with a large Phyrexian Horror token to maintain pressure. Riku's use of clever impersonate on Alhammarret's Archive and the subsequent treasure generation from Dockside Extortionist provided him with explosive card draw and mana acceleration. Anje's consistent rummaging and madness activations allowed her to maintain a steady flow of cards and keep her hand stocked with threats. The interplay between token generation, ramp, and card advantage defined the mid-game, with players jockeying for position through value plays and selective removal. Ultimately, the game revolved around managing resources and leveraging unique deck synergies rather than a single decisive combo or blowout.
