Gameplay Insights

  • 1

Yorion's flicker strategy was disrupted by well-timed removal spells like Snuff Out, forcing careful timing and responses.

  • 2

Teysa's ability to generate multiple tokens and triggers off creature deaths provided consistent pressure and board presence, allowing for effective combat and defense.

  • 3

Kwain's use of card draw spells combined with discard and counterspells allowed for strong board control and resource denial.

  • 4

Xantcha's control through curses and treasure token generation created a taxing environment for opponents, slowing their development.

  • 5

The synergy between sacrifice outlets and death triggers in Teysa's deck was a pivotal interaction, enabling multiple token generations and life gain during combat.

  • 6

Windfall played a crucial role in shaking up the game state by forcing players to discard and draw new hands, resetting resources and creating new opportunities.

Logs of the Burn-Out, 03:20am, April 2nd, 2021

I have fallen asleep three times at this deck finishing the last twenty minutes worth of work over the last three hours, which eventually escalated into a NEW issue I didn’t expect. I have not only rediscovered every personal error I need be better vigilant about, nor rediscovered every Adobe Premeire Pro hiccup that used to be my normal back in the day, but I’ve learned NEW problems and NEW ways my day can be absolutely blinded.

Don’t you ever dare try using (a) an image that’s larger than a wallpaper, or (b) a project file with sequence settings different than your own?

Those Commander Damage symbols, I made those for tokens, and tried repurposing them for here since I have a set of 0-99. If I knew that ALONE would cost me 2 hours… maybe I wouldn’t have.

And also, while the blessings of nesting cannot be understated, it is now more crucial than ever before to have projects match one another in settings. I need to make a new Opening Hands Poject File that matches the sequence settings of the regular gameplay videos.

Do you know what it’s like when, at 3am and after 72 hours of no sleep, to helplessly watch the ETA Timer go UP instead of Premiere Pro actually encoding?

In any case, god bless nesting, now to go sleep until 2022. Maybe by then Busch’s will stop pinata-ing me at 6am every morning, whether or not I work.

AND THEN, AFTER FINALLY UPLOADING AND SETTING UP ALL THE BLURBS AND SHIT, I DISCOVER THAT THE OPENING REPEATED THE BITS WITH ME. HOW, WHY, KILL ME. But we swapped to Jester Cap, which is a better song for my energy.
