Gameplay Summary
The game featured four players piloting aggressive and combo-oriented cEDH decks.
The opening turns developed quickly with mana accelerants and key pieces being deployed.
Early on, Mike's Ikra Shidiqi and Kraum deck demonstrated strong Ad Nauseam synergy, setting up a powerful draw and life gain engine.
He leveraged Necropotence and flash effects from Emergence Zone to maximize his card advantage and generate treasure tokens with Dockside Extortionist.
This culminated in a lethal combo sequence where he milled his entire deck with Brain Freeze, escaping it repeatedly alongside Lion's Eye Diamond to enable a Thassa's Oracle win, ending the game swiftly in his favor.
The other players, including Noah's storm-focused Krark and Sakashima deck, and Nick's Yuriko ninja deck, put early pressure on the board but were unable to disrupt Mike’s explosive combo sequence in time. In the subsequent game, Noah aggressively established his storm combo with both commanders Krark and Sakashima on the battlefield by turn two, setting up for a fast kill.
Mike attempted to stabilize with ramp and control elements like Sensei's Divining Top and a protective Mox Diamond, but his Dark Ritual was countered by Ashani's Shorikai deck deploying Mental Misstep early, slowing his progress.
Meanwhile, Nick’s Yuriko deck applied pressure with evasive ninjas and removal, demonstrated by Dismember taking out Noah’s Sakashima.
The game showcased high-level interaction and counterplay with players balancing aggressive combo lines against stax and disruption elements, keeping the board state volatile and tense.
