Gameplay Summary
The game featured a high-powered four-player cEDH match with Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy; Thrasios, Triton Hero paired with Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh; Jeska, Thrice Reborn paired with Tymna the Weaver; and Godo, Bandit Warlord.
Early turns saw aggressive mana acceleration and disruption, highlighted by Force of Will countering a Mana Vault and Pact of Negation stopping Magus of the Moon to keep the board state open.
Jeska/Tymna leveraged card draw and Jeska's ability to clear key creatures, including Rograkh and Kinnan, disrupting opponents' ramp and board presence.
Meanwhile, Godo focused on assembling his classic Helm of the Host combo, which he successfully pulled off despite Cyclonic Rift trying to reset the board.
Ricochet Trap redirected the Rift, protecting Godo’s combo pieces and enabling infinite combat steps via Helm, leading to a swift and unexpected victory for Toby piloting Godo. Throughout the game, the players juggled powerful spells and interactions, with Thrasios/Rograkh aiming to control the board and leverage polymorph effects, Jeska/Tymna focusing on infinite mana and Jeska’s combat damage triggers, and Kinnan attempting to generate large mana pools and layered combos.
The key turning point was Godo’s combo sequence, where timely responses and interaction baiting allowed the combo to resolve intact, demonstrating the importance of protecting critical combo pieces in cEDH.
The game ended quickly after Godo’s infinite combat triggers overwhelmed the table.
