Deck Strategies
Maelstrom Wanderer
This deck aims to ramp quickly and take advantage of the cascade ability of Maelstrom Wanderer to get multiple spells onto the board.
Geist of Saint Traft
This deck is looking to equip its creatures, mainly the commander, with powerful auras, turning them into formidable threats while gaining card advantage.
Omnath, Locus of Mana
The Omnath deck looks to ramp quickly, storing mana on Omnath and making him a large threat that can deal massive damage.
Eriette of the Charmed Apple
This deck appears to be defensive, likely wanting to keep the board state under control while building up its own board for a powerful late game.
Gameplay Insights
- 1
The Professor's strategy of equipping a single creature with multiple auras can be highly effective, but it also poses a risk as it puts a lot of resources into one creature that could be removed.
- 2
Aims' decision to ramp quickly and build up Omnath's power is a sound strategy, but it will be interesting to see if she can protect Omnath from removal.
- 3
The interaction between the Geist of Saint Traft and Eriette of the Charmed Apple decks was interesting, with the Geist deck effectively preventing attacks from the Eriette deck by enchanting its creatures.
Notable Cards

Puresteel Paladin

Summary
The game started quite evenly, with all players developing their board states without any significant threats. The Omnath deck, played by Aims, had a fast start, ramping quickly using a Kadama's Reach, and threatening to make Omnath, Locus of Mana a substantial threat in the future. The Maelstrom Wanderer deck was also ramping efficiently and put a Managorger Hydra on the board, which could grow very quickly due to its ability. Meanwhile, the Geist of Saint Traft deck, piloted by The Professor, began to assemble a Voltron strategy, equipping Puresteel Paladin with Aqueous Form and Staggering Insight. The Eriette of the Charmed Apple deck seemed to be biding its time, quietly developing its board state.
