Summary
The game started with each player developing their board and ramping mana early on. Mogis, God of Slaughter aggressively pressured opponents by forcing discards and sacrificing permanents with Liliana, Waker of the Dead and Waste Not, generating card advantage and tokens. Mogis then cast Dockside Extortionist to generate a large number of Treasure tokens, followed by a devastating Torment of Hailfire that inflicted massive damage and forced heavy sacrifices across the table. This was quickly followed by a hard-cast Decree of Annihilation, wiping most of the board and leaving Mogis with a dominant position. Despite some defensive plays and ramp from Grimgrin and Sharuum, Mogis maintained pressure and ultimately finished the game by attacking with a haste-enabled Michael Holdred, eliminating opponents swiftly. The game demonstrated how Mogis' combination of discard, sacrifice, and large storm effects can quickly overwhelm other strategies.
