  • 2

Dionus’s synergy with elves and +1/+1 counter mechanics allowed multiple untaps and mana generation, facilitating casting large creatures and multiple activations in a single turn.

Summary

The game began with a typical setup phase where each player established their mana bases and early board presence. Dionus, Elvish Archdruid focused on generating value by pairing with creatures like Marwyn the Nurturer to ramp and grow his army through +1/+1 counters and untapping elves for multiple activations. Zul Ashur, Lich Lord developed a zombie-based graveyard recursion strategy, using his commander’s ability to cast zombie creatures from the graveyard and going wide with tokens, supported by powerful synergies such as Blood Artist and Treasure generation for mana and value. Cleon, Merry Champion aimed to leverage pump and storm elements, creating multiple token soldiers to overwhelm opponents, while Niv-Mizzet, Visionary pursued a control and burn plan, drawing cards and dealing damage through spellcasting and direct burn effects.

In addition to our Box Opening videos we will have high power level casual commander gameplay videos, deck techs, and a series of shorts called Why We Play where we will talk about favorite cards and combos.

When we started this channel I do not think we had any idea the amount of time and work that goes into the YouTube videos we all enjoy. This video is certainly not perfect. Creating these video’s has been a learning process. Every part of this video from the filming, editing, recording voice overs, animation of the logo, and even the composition and production of the music for the Booster Box Breakdown was us learning on the go. I would like to thank and to give credit to the artist who designed our fantastic logo Gilang N. of Pintal Sari.

We would love to know what you all think about it? How can our videos be improved? What is your favorite card that we played? Niv Mizzet is a fearsome dragon lord.
