Summary

The match kicked off with players establishing their board presence, notable among them being Ethan's Edric deck that capitalized on drawing cards during unblocked attacks and Cameron's Captain Sisay deck tutoring for key cards. A key turning point occurred when Cody cast Binding the Old Gods, targeting Edric and a Wild Growth, thus disrupting Ethan's card draw engine. Subsequently, Cameron cast Ugin, the Spirit Dragon and promised not to hurt Cody's board, exiling all coloured permanents with mana value one or less. Later, Cody used the Eldest Reborn forcing each opponent to sacrifice a creature, further controlling the board. Despite valiant efforts from Sam and Ethan to regain control, Cody's board state and saga cards, particularly The Eldest Reborn and Binding the Old Gods, seemed to dictate the flow of the game.
