Gameplay Insights

  • 1

Using Contagion Clasp to put a minus counter on the Angel disrupted John's (Drana and Linvala) board and slowed down his life gain strategy.

  • 2

Extra's decision to cast Pest Infestation on key artifacts and mana rocks significantly disrupted the other players' strategies.

  • 3

Sam's (Kiora) use of Wilming Wave not only disrupted the other players but also allowed him to get more value from his creatures' cascade triggers.

  • 4

Extra's (Zimone and Dina) efficient use of landfall triggers to generate a massive scoot army was the key to his victory.

Summary

The game started off with each player setting up their board and casting their commanders. Player Tom, controlling Brimaz, started making Phyrexian Might tokens and building a formidable board presence. However, Extra, commanding Zimone and Dina, made a significant impact by generating a mass of scoot tokens. Sam, playing Kiora, also attempted to establish a strong board position by casting creatures and spells to trigger cascade, but was kept in check by the other players. Throughout the game, players attempted to disrupt each other's strategies, with cards such as Contagion Clasp and Vindicate being used to control the board. The game concluded when Extra went to combat and eliminated everyone with his massive scoot army.
