Gameplay Insights

  • 1

Michael’s use of Past in Flames to replay key spells was crucial in maintaining card advantage and setting up his lethal combo.

  • 2

George’s aggressive Korvold attacks steadily pressured opponents but also drew attention, leading to targeted removal.

  • 3

RJ’s Kaya’s Wrath provided a timely board wipe and life gain but was insufficient to halt Michael’s momentum.

  • 4

The interaction between Ghost Quarter and land ramp spells impacted the board state and tempo for Lord Windgrace’s player.

  • 5

Michael’s decision not to block or sacrifice Korvold’s Clackbridge Troll early allowed him to conserve resources and ultimately cast Comet Storm to close the game.

  • 6

Recurring spirits and sacrifice synergies from Athreos created incremental value but struggled to keep pace with the explosive mana and burn strategy.
