Summary

The game started with each player establishing their board and executing their early ramp and draw strategies. Toothy and Pir quickly set up their counters and card draw engine, aiming to win through a Lab Man effect by accumulating counters on Toothy. Ob Nixilis’s pilot focused on artifact synergy and interaction, leveraging Dockside Extortionist and Mayhem Devil to control threats and generate value. K’rrik’s player utilized a heavily artifact-focused build, using life payments and mana acceleration to cast impactful spells early. Thrasios and Rograkh worked towards infinite mana combos and card advantage to dominate the late game. A pivotal moment occurred when Toothy’s controller cast Time Twister, forcing everyone to reshuffle their hands and graveyards into their libraries, allowing Toothy to gain a massive number of counters. Ob Nixilis’s player managed to repeatedly trigger his commander’s ability, exiling cards and removing threats, even returning Ob to the command zone when targeted by removal. Mike’s K’rrik deck exploited blood counters on Font of Agonies to destroy creatures, leading to a devastating board wipe with Orcish Bowmasters and March of Swirling Mist that cleared opponents’ boards and dealt massive damage. Despite heavy disruption, Toothy’s player rebuilt with Carpet of Flowers and Chain of Vapor to bounce threats and keep drawing cards. Interaction continued as Jrock used Toxic Deluge and reanimation spells to pressure opponents, but was met with counters and graveyard hate. The game showcased high-level cEDH tactics focused on resource denial, combo assembly, and board control, with each player leveraging their commander’s unique synergies to maintain presence and seek victory.
