Summary

In the initial stages of the game, players struggled to get their decks going. Chris, with his Sythis, Harvest's Hand deck was hindered by a lack of green mana sources. Shane, piloting the Brallin, Skyshark Rider, and Shabraz, the Skyshark combo, was stalled by an overreliance on bounce lands and a lack of early mana rocks. Meanwhile, the players of Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm and Averna, the Chaos Bloom decks benefited from turn one Soul Rings that propelled their game plans forward. As the game progressed, several wheel effects allowed the Miirym player to ramp up quickly. A pivotal moment occurred when Shane cast Time Spiral, which led to a massive chain reaction dealing nine damage to each creature. In the end, the Miirym player took the win after a series of powerful dragon summons and attacks.
