Summary

The game started with all players developing their board states and setting up their strategies around their commanders. Marisi focused on a combination of pillow fort defenses and evasion creatures, aiming to leverage goaded creatures to force opponents to attack each other and then swoop in for damage. Grumgully ramped aggressively with mana acceleration and quickly established a sacrifice outlet engine to enable infinite combos involving persist creatures. Mayael sought to ramp into powerful creatures using Green Sun's Zenith and Salvala, Heart of the Wilds, building a threatening board presence. Yuriko aimed to use ninjutsu and evasive creatures to trigger value from high-impact cards, generating card advantage and extra turns to overwhelm opponents. A key turning point came when Grumgully assembled an infinite combo with persist creatures and a sacrifice outlet, putting immense pressure on the table. Marisi's ability to goad opponents disrupted the usual attack patterns, causing tension and strategic decisions about whom to attack. Yuriko's stealth and unblockable damage consistently chipped away at opponents, while Mayael balanced ramp and protection to maintain her presence. The game featured notable moments like a clutch counterspell and critical topdeck plays that influenced the flow of combat and board control. Ultimately, the game revolved around Grumgully's combo potential and Marisi's manipulation of combat dynamics, with Yuriko capitalizing on evasive strikes and Mayael patiently building her threats.
