Manglehorn was played early to disrupt artifact-based decks but failed to slow down the Etali player's combo, showing the limits of artifact hate against certain combos.

Summary

The game started quickly with aggressive early plays, notably a turn one Manglehorn that was intended to disrupt equipment or artifact-based strategies. The Kinnan player developed mana quickly using Green Sun's Zenith and a mana crypt, setting up a Cradle to accelerate their board state. Meanwhile, the Etali player cast a Twinflame combo on an Orcish Lumberjack, followed by a Dualcaster Mage to create an exponential number of hasty tokens, swinging for lethal damage on turn two. Despite the presence of three other blue players and potential counterspells, the Etali player managed to pull off the combo and dealt massive damage, knocking out two opponents and putting the game into a critical state. The inclusion of cards like Coat of Arms and the sacrifice of Yoshimaru with the effect of End of Turn Fortitude protected the Etali player from lethal damage, allowing the combo to resolve without interruption. After this explosive early game, the remaining players attempted to stabilize but were left scrambling against the overwhelming board presence created by the Etali combo.
